COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective The aim of the course; to examine the structure of industrial relations, basic approaches, institutions and policies.
Course Content Lesson; It includes the conceptual and theoretical framework of industrial relations, trade unionism (trade unionism, employer unionism), the role of the state in industrial relations, the concept of collective bargaining, the collective bargaining process, collective labor disputes and general issues related to resolution. In addition, this course includes the factors that lead to transformation in industrial relations such as the flexibility experienced with globalization, the change in the way of working, and the increasing role of human resources management.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Defines the concept of industrial relations in narrow and broad sense
2Explain the actors of industrial relations and their activities at workplace, business, national and international level
3Discusses different theoretical approaches and criticisms about industrial relations, explains the concept of union, union rights, the emergence process of unions, the reasons for the existence of different union models.
4Explain the roles of the state in industrial relations, explain employer organizations, organizational models, functions and functions.
5Defines the concept of collective bargaining, its elements and the nature of collective bargaining, explains the peaceful and combative solutions used in the resolution of collective labor disputes.
