2701 SOCIOLOGY PhD

GENERAL INFORMATION
Pamukkale University, the Department of Sociology aims to gam sociological perspective or sociological way of thinking; determine what is evident sociological interpretations of human behaviors; aims to develop and compherend thinking about insights social events for doctoral programme. The necessary critical foundations, rsearch mrthods and techniques are prouded for the development of sociological perpective. With this viewpoint, it is aimed to gain genuine perpective about social events acesing around, in turkey and i the world. İn addition to giving basic courses, courses about diferent areas in broad range for development of students are included and this is provided cultural accumutation about these areas. The elective courses in curriculum aims to specity individual study areas for students.

Objective
The aims of program are to evaluate the sociological problems in multi-dimensional framework; to analyze both our society and other societies; to prepare research projects related to sociological problems; to learn to look from different perspective to society and cultural formations


Admission Requirements
Have graduate diploma with 3,00 grade point average, minumum 65 scor from ALES, minumum 55 scor from KPDS/ÜDS

Graduation Requirements
To have B1 grade average point, fulfill 21 credits and 2 seminar

Career Opportunties
Part of the alumni, teacher, of academics, experts in social services, public relations, guidance and psychological counseling in the classroom and group teaching philosophy, journalism, public opinion research companies, the state statistics institute expertise in the ad sector, text writing, television, etc.. such as public and private sector can find career opportunities.

Recognition of Prior Learning
A successful student who has completed at least one semester in another institution / department of the university or another post-graduate program of another higher education institution may be admitted to the post-graduate programs by horizontal transfer. The conditions for acceptance by horizontal transfer are determined by the Senate.

To have B1 grade average point, fulfill 21 credits and 2 seminar

Access to Further Studies
A student graduated with a good PhD Degree may carry on an academic carrier as a lecturer or post doctorate researcher.
