2323 History of Turco Islamic Thought

GENERAL INFORMATION
In the Department of Philosophy, since the 1995-1996 Academic year, graduate education has been given in two programs called Systematic Philosophy and Logic, History of Turco-Islamic Thought. However, at the end of the 2019-2020 Academic year, the Systematic Philosophy and Logic Master’s Program was closed. 2323-Turco-Islamic Thought Program continues its education. In our program, specialization training in the field of Turco-Islamic Philosophy is given. Graduates of any undergraduate program can be accepted to this program. However, graduates of an undergraduate program other than Philosophy, Sociologie and Theology have to take two semesters of scientific preparatory education.

Objective
The aim of the program is to provide students with specialization in Turco-Islamic philosophy, as well as enhancing their academic ability to deal with certain philosophical issues involving Turco-Islamic thought.


Admission Requirements
First cycle degree, acceptable score on centralized graduate entrance exam, placement through local oral/written exam and certificate of English proficiency

Graduation Requirements
A student must complete the required course load (21 PAU credits) with a CGPA of at least 3.00/4.00; present a research seminar and successfully prepare and defend a thesis.
