3445 OBSTETRICAL-GYNECOLOGY NURSING

GENERAL INFORMATION
Pamukkale University Department of Obstetric Gynecologic Nursing graduate program has been active since 2010. Students who wish to graduate must obtain a minimum of 60 ectsThose who successfully complete the course can complete a thesis under the supervision of an advisor, and must defended their thesis front of a jury.

Objective
This program aims to train science experts with a sense of professional nursing, and the maintenance requirements of individuals, families and communities susceptible to health problems at national and international levels. The graduates are able to do scientific research on national and international levels, gain knowledge and skills of applications and are capable of transmitting the teaching of nursing procedures, and in using methods of “Obstetric Gynecologic Nursing” in the nursing field.


Admission Requirements
Having a bachelor's degree in Nursing from the School of Nursing, Faculty of Nursing, School of Health or Faculty of Health Sciences.

Graduation Requirements
Students must complete the required course load of (60 ECTS) with a CGPA of at least 3.00/4.00; and must successfully present a research seminar and prepare and defend a thesis.

Career Opportunties
Students who graduate from the Fundamentals of Nursing can become Nursing and Health School’s teaching staff (research assistants, teaching assistants and hospital training nurses)

PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Based on nursing graduate qualifications, to be able to develop knowledge in the field of Obstetric Gynecologic Nursing on the level of expertise.
2To be able to grap the interaction between the disciplines about Obstetric Gynecologic Nursing.
3To be able to use theoretical and practical information at the level of expertise gained in the field of Obstetric Gynecologic Nursing.
4To be able to create new information by integrating information in the field of Obstetric Gynecologic Nursing and information came from another discipline.
5To be able to solve problems that requires expertise by using scientific research methods
6A problem in the field, to be able to build independently, to be able to develop a solution method, to be able to solve, to be able to evaluate and perform results.
7At the Unforeseen complex situations encountered in applications, to be able to develop new strategic approach and to be able to produce a solution by taking responsibility.
8To be able to critically evaluate information about Women s Health and Disease Nursing, to be able to direct learning and to be able to conduct advanced studies as an independent.

10To be able to critically examine social relations and norms which direct these relations, to be able to develop these and if need be, to be able to come into action to change these.

TEACHING & LEARNING METHODS
