2313 TOURISM GUIDANCE

GENERAL INFORMATION
ourism Guidance Master's Program, at Pamukkale University Social Sciences Institute, will contribute to increase the number and quality of scientific studies to be carried out in the field of Tourism Guidance, and will contribute to meet the need for academic staff in the aforementioned field. On the other hand, the purpose of this program is to provide students with the ability to conduct independent research, to interpret scientific works with a broad and deep perspective, and to determine the necessary steps to reach new syntheses.

Objective
To be able to look critically and understand the content and scope of the tourism guiding profession by following the developments in the world, to act professionally in the planning, implementation and supervision of tours with leadership qualities and teamwork mentality; Being able to perceive civilizations in the world and in Turkey from the historical, archaeological, political, religious, geographical, flora and fauna perspecitves and gaining the ability to associate them with current events and apply them with foreign languages in the profession by gaining knowledge about group and human psychology; Establishing relationships between works of art, geography of cultures and way of life through the discussed period; to be able to create awareness of protecting intangible and tangible cultural heritage and to apply innovative approaches within the scope of museum guidance, to think; To be able to search for information sources individually and to use databases for this purpose, to monitor scientific and technological developments; Having sufficient knowledge and awareness about occupational safety, worker health, social security rights, quality control and management and sustainable tourism, by following the legislation (laws, regulations, circulars, etc.), basic values, principles and standards related to their profession

Recognition of Prior Learning
Recognition of previous structured lectures in Turkish Higher Education Institutions, transitions in vertical, horizontal and university are realized within the scope of the "Higher Education Regulations", "REGULATION BETWEEN THE BACHELORS AND GRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAMS, ON HIGHER EDUCATION AND TRANSITION BETWEEN DOUBLE MAJOR DALL, SIDE DALL AND CREDIT TRANSFER STANDARDS

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
In order to graduate from the Master's programme in Computer Engineering; 60 ECTS compulsory, elective and seminar course credits, 60 ECTS Specialisation course and Master's Thesis course credits, a total of 120 ECTS must be successfully completed and the academic average determined by the senate for graduation at the end of the education period must be met.

PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Being able to critically look at and understand the content and scope of the tourism guiding profession by following the developments in the world, planning and analyzing tours scientifically.
2To be able to perceive civilizations and religions in the world and Turkey from historical, archaeological, political, geographical, flora and fauna aspects and to gain the ability to relate these to current events.
3Establishing relationships between works of art, the geography where cultures live, the life and thought styles of the period and the intrinsic qualities of the work; Ability to raise awareness of preserving intangible and concrete cultural heritage and to implement innovative approaches within the scope of museum guidance
4Ability to individually research information sources in accessing information and use databases for this purpose and follow scientific and technological developments
5To have sufficient knowledge, consciousness and awareness about the relevant legislation (law, regulation, circular, etc.), basic values ​​and principles and standards and acting in accordance with them, occupational safety, worker health, social security rights, quality control and management and sustainable tourism.
6In the light of technological developments, researching the use and application areas of tools such as AI, VR and AR in the field of tourism guidance and presenting suggestions.
7Considering the relationship between regional development and tourism in terms of sustainable development goals and developing proposals and projects on local economic development, especially on the relationship between small and medium-sized enterprises and tourism guidance
8Establishing direct and indirect relationships between international diplomacy and tourism guidance and making suggestions about the field
9Obtaining basic knowledge and gaining practice in preparing projects for institutions such as the European Union Erasmus +, Horizon 2020, COSME and TUBITAK at the national level.
