3746 LABOUR ECONOMICS AND INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS PhD

GENERAL INFORMATION
The purpose of Labour Economics and Industrial Relations Phd Program is, training experts who gained abilities of accessing information, evaluation, synthesis, interpretation and reporting by means of conducting independent academic research in the light of theoretic and practical phd courses, in the field of labour relations.These capabilities are expected to reflect on his/her career as labour economics and industrial relations phd.

Objective
In accordance with the multi-disciplinary structure of the department, to ensure that the graduates of the program have an academic background, to train the workforce for the professions they can work in the public and private sectors; To train experts on social policy, social security, individual and collective labour relations, union, social dialogue, employment and unemployment, wages, productivity, human resources management, occupational health and safety, etc. who can work in public and private sectors, and in organizations such as the European Union and the International Labour Organization; To provide the graduates with the ability to find solutions to the problems experienced in the field of labour relations, both in theory and in practice, at a universal and national level.


Admission Requirements
Candidates who will apply to the doctoral program are required to have a Master's degree with Thesis. - ALES score cannot be less than 65, in the type of score of the applied program. - If the current grade is sufficient, the ALES certificate is not required from those who have taken a break from doctoral/art proficiency education for a maximum of one semester after completing their master's education. - In order for the candidate to be considered proficient in a foreign language, he/she must get at least 55 points from YDS/YÖKDİL or equivalent language exams accepted by the Interuniversity Board.

Graduation Requirements
A student must complete the required course load (90 ECTS); present two research seminar and defend a thesis.

Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Family and Social Services, Turkish Employment Agency, private employment offices, trade unions, non-governmental organisations, human resources departments of public and private institutions, United Nations and European Union.

Recognition of Prior Learning
A successful student who has completed at least one semester in another institution / department of the university or another post-graduate program of another higher education institution may be admitted to the post-graduate programs by horizontal transfer. The conditions for acceptance by horizontal transfer are determined by the Senate.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
A student must complete the required course load (90 ECTS); present two research seminar and defend a thesis.

Access to Further Studies
A student graduated with a good PhD Degree may carry on an academic carrier as a lecturer or post doctorate researcher.
