GENERAL INFORMATION
The Biology undergraduate Programme was established in 1994 in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and accepted first Pupils in 1999-2000. Department was equipped with sufficient number of faculty members and of research laboratories and teaching laboratories. Today, there are 6 professors, 9 associate professors, 3 assistant professors, 2 expert, 4 teaching and research assistants, and 1 technician.

Objective
The aim of the program is to provide its students equal educational opportunity in Biology, which is claimed to be the science of 21st century and to prepare them for a bright future.


Admission Requirements
To receive the required score from the Student Selection Test (LYS) conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM); To receive the required score from the Vertical Transition Exam (DGS) conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM); To provide the requirements established by the university for transfers.

Graduation Requirements
Students are required to complete all compulsory and elective courses in the curriculum successfully with no failing grades, and have a minimum CGPA requirement as stated in Pamukkale University’s undergraduate program guidance.

Career Opportunties
A biologist can work in the hospital of institution or special sector; as a teacher (Biology or Science) in educational institutions;

TEACHING & LEARNING METHODS

DebateDepending on the situation, debate is a tool that allows all students, or a specific portion of the class to participate in the lesson. In this method, members of the group discuss a topic by addressing the various points of view and discuss alternative opinions about problem-solving.
DemonstrationIn this method the teacher demonstrates, an experiment, test, in front of the class. And then assists students to do so too. Students learn not only by just by looking and watching, but also by taking part and participating. This method is usually applied when teaching skills.
