164 PHILOSOPHY (Evening Classes)

GENERAL INFORMATION
To achieve a full representation, our department of philosophy mainly joins systematic and historical viewpoints. We offer a wide variety courses in core areas of philosophy, aiming to teach both history of philosophy and the basic problems of philosophy. Our department tries to introduce the student to different views and philosophical discussions taken place in the history of philosophy. In addition, our program provides its students the opportunity to take 16 credits sociology and 16 credits psychology courses.

Objective
In offering a wide variety of philosophy courses, we aim to introduce the student to philosophical thinking. The fact that skills like thinking clearly and reasoning critically are all enhanced by taking philosophy courses, no student of our department graduates without having picked up such skills.


Admission Requirements
Students preferring to enroll our department must pass a general exam organized by the Turkish Higher Educational Council.

Graduation Requirements
Each student must earn at least 240 ECTS credits and succeed. Graduation point must be at least 2.30/4.00

Career Opportunties
After earning a four year degree, our graduates (BAs) become a teacher. They teach philosophy in public or private schools. They are also eligible to find jobs in public offices.
