Course Objective	Archaic roof tiles and architectural terracottas which are produced in Anatolia will be learned in light of the remains.
Course Content	Roof tiles which have started to be produced in Anatolia in second quarter of 7th century B.C. were protecting the wood and mudbrick buildings from rains, snow and humidity. In Phrygian region, architectural terracottas with painted figures started to be used in mid-7th centuries as we see in the examples of rock monuments, Pazarlı and Akalan structures. Those architectural terracottas have dispersed through inner Phrygia and Southern Ionia/north western Caria (especially Miletus and Euromos)

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
