Course Objective To understand the importance of the method in music education. To be able to recognize the Orff approach and understand its contribution to music education. To recognize and comprehend musical movement and rhythm education applications in children. Raising awareness that individual creativity and aesthetic understanding can be developed through Orff applications.
Course Content The place and importance of music lesson in primary school. Musical behavior and movement characteristics of primary school children. Definition and history of Orff approach. Orff applications in the world. Voice and rhythm definitions with children; movement, dance, musical story, playing, singing, listening, dance-movement, self-expression, creating your own music and using Orff instruments with Orff approach. Major Orff applications and methods. Recognition and application studies of Orff instruments. Development of aesthetic understanding and socialization with Orff approach through individual creativity.
