Course Objective -The aim of this course is to acquire the critical, creative, analytical and reflective thinking skills and attitudes of individuals and to relate them to primary school programs by making use of the knowledge and experience of many fields based on an interdisciplinary understanding.
Course Content -Definition of thinking and thinking skills. What are the basic thinking skills? Relationship between Intelligence and Thinking Skills, Examining theories about thinking skills, Teaching thinking skills, Problem solving, Problem solving stages and strategies, Critical thinking, Critical thinking and Bloom's taxonomy, Critical thinking and philosophy, Critical thinking skills and trends, Critical thinking Strategy, approach, methods and techniques that can be used to gain skills, Subject-based teaching approach, Skill-based teaching approach, Creative thinking, Programs based on creative thinking, Thinking skills and learning styles, Examination of Thinking Education Programs, Six-hat thinking technique CoRT Thinking Program, Philosophy for children programs "The Mediated Enrichment Program" by Feurstein. Examining the teaching of thinking skills in different curricula. Evaluation of primary education curriculum in terms of thinking skills
