OKO 617 THEORETICAL APPROACHES AND REFLECTIONS IN EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION3 + 02nd Semester5

COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course Level Doctorate Degree
Course Type Compulsory
Course Objective Conceptual and theoretical frameworks are cognitive abilities that enable us to see and understand the impact of human nature on education, teaching and research processes. Educational practices that do not sufficiently take into account these perspectives can not produce effective results. For this reason, it is expected that early childhood researchers and educators should have a sufficient awareness of child development and education, the roles of teachers and parents regarding the approach, model and reflection of them.
Course Content • The multidimensional analysis of philosophical views, trends and models that constitute the basis of early childhood education in terms of past and present practices, • An interdisciplinary approach to research in recent years that does not study the relationship between development and learning, • Basic knowledge of early childhood development and discussion of the reflection of existing research findings on educational programs (planning, implementation and evaluation dimensions) • A critical review of scientific studies that examine the effectiveness of early childhood education approaches in different cultures and in our country in terms of development and learning
