Course Objective To study cognitive processes involved in learning mathematics from different theoretical perspectives.
Course Content Cognitive processes involved in learning mathematics, Piaget's theory of cognitive development and its key concepts, such as continuity of object, conservation, classification and relationships, theory of information processing, theory of socio-cultural development, mathematical processes (i.e. reasoning, estimation, problem solving, connections, communications, representations etc.) .
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.

1Students should explain cognitive processes in learning mathematics form different perspectives.
2Students should compare different theories about cognitive processes.
