Course Objective	To study cognitive processes involved in learning mathematics from different theoretical perspectives.
Course Content	Cognitive processes involved in learning mathematics, Piaget's theory of cognitive development and its key concepts, such as continuity of object, conservation, classification and relationships, theory of information processing, theory of socio-cultural development, mathematical processes (i.e. reasoning, estimation, problem solving, connections, communications, representations etc.) .
Prerequisites	No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite	No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

1	Students should explain cognitive processes in learning mathematics form different perspectives.
2	Students should compare different theories about cognitive processes.
3	Students should recognize the role of mathematical processes (i.e.problem solving, reasoning, estimation, connection, communication, representation)in learning mathematics.
