Course Objective Energy analysis is the traditional method of assessing the way energy is used in an operation involving the physical or chemical processing of materials and the transfer and/or conversion of energy.
Course Content Economic and environmental analysis of energy conversion systems Cycle analysis, cycle synthesis and optimization related to the design of thermal powers. Renewable energy sources, environmental and economic importance. Solar energy and its applications. Wind energy and its applications. Geothermal energy and its applications. Hydro, wave and tidal energies and applications. Hydrogen fuel cells, thermal power plants and their operators. Environmental information and limitations.
