Course Objective
To examine the power frequency changes, to learn the terms of power quality, to develop a solution for voltage drop in power systems.
Course Content
Power quality, general classification of power quality problem, voltage fluctuations, voltage imbalance, voltage fluctuation, power frequency variations, terms related to power quality, voltage drop and interruption sources, basic principles of protection, voltage drop in power systems, consumer equipment, equipment, transient overvoltage sources, principles of overvoltage protection, devices used for overvoltage protection, lightning protection, transient event problems with load switching, harmonics, principles of voltage regulation, monitoring of power quality.

The student who takes the course knows the terms related to voltage fluctuation, power frequency changes, power quality.
