Course Content To give an introduction to isotope geochemistry and the use of isotopic data in the resolution of different types of geological questions. Course Contents: Physical and chemical processes that determine the isotopic composition of igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks, Methods of radiometric dating, Use of radiogenic isotopes in the study of the sources of magmatic and sedimentary rocks, Fractionation of stable isotopes, Application of isotopic data to the solution of particular geological problems.
