• Introducing clay mineral structure and composition, • Teaching origin and occurrence of the clay minerals, • Giving properties of various types of clays, • Giving uses of clays.
Course Content
General properties of clay minerals and their structures, determination skills of clay minerals, useages at the ceramic production and the other sectors, importance of engineering features for demonstrating technological properties, determination of engineering properties, forming conductions of clay deposits, geological properties of Turkey’s important clay deposits, methods for exploration of clay deposits, important clay deposits of Turkey.
