Course Objective To introduce the students to modern theories of, Basic definitions of the Earthquake Engineering and Seismology, Application of the Earthquake Engineering
Course Content Basic definitions of the Earthquake Engineering and Seismology, application of the Earthquake Engineering, derivations of seismic parameters of ground with using seismic reflections and utilising these parameters to investigate the subsurface structures, investigations of the dominant vibration period for the ground and its effect on buildings and other constructions, microtremors, vibrations of buildings during earthquake and damages caused by them.
