Course Objective The aim of this course is to provide an advanced information regarding properties of fluids, movement of fluids and the impact they create.
Course Content The Basic Equations : Equations of Continuity and Motion; Forces and Acceleration; Relationship Between Stress and Rate of Deformation; Euler's, Bernozilli and Navier - Stokes Equations; Potential Flow Functions, Flow Nets; Circulation and Vorticity; Description of Vortex; Vortex Stereets and Vortex Pipe; Fundamental Potential Flows : Uniform Flow; Two - Dimensional Flows; Flow Around Silindir and Hydrodynamic Forces on a Cylinder; Boundary Layers : Basic Concepts; Assumptions of Boundary - Layer Theory; Boundary - Layer Equations and Their Integrals; Laminer and Turbulent Boundary Layers; Turbulent : Definition, Initation and Properties of Turbulance. Flow Observation an Measurement Techniques.
