Course Objective The goal of this course is to explain “Sequencing and Scheduling” in detail, which is a part of “Production Palnning and Control” course and explain all mathematical approaches and algorithms used from determining the job routes to preparing job schedules. Moreover, students are expected to analyze scientific papers to learn up-to-date approaches used in sequencing.
Course Content Sequencing and Programming, Optimality of Programs, Processing in Single Machine, Structural Algorithms for Flow Type and Order Type Workshops, Dynamic Programming Applications, Branch and Bound Algorithm, Sequencing Problem of Parallel Machines, Production Programming and Sequencing in Flow Type Workshops, Development of New Models and Solution Methods for Flow Type Workshop Problems, Heuristic Methods.
