Course Objective The aims of this course, to develop understanding of DC machines, BLDC machines, induction machines and their drives and drive methods.
Course Content Motor speed control methods are employed. DC Motor performance characteristics are calculated and variation of motor characteristics as a function of load. BLDC Motor speed control methods are employed. BLDC Motor performance characteristics are calculated and variation of motor characteristics as a function of load. Induction Motor speed control methods are employed. Electromechnical methods including the effect of rotor resistance. Electronic variable speed drives. Introduction to vector drives. Perform calculations of adequate torque and power over the speed range on in question motors.
