Course Objective Teaching numerical package programs to solve electrical machines, electrical and magnetic field problems and some example applications.
Course Content Introduction to simulation package programs. Translational and rotational geometry. Design of a C and E-core actuator. Cylindrical screen in a uniform field. Field in a cylindrical conductor. Transformer equivalent circuit. Self inductance of a brooks coil. Mutual inductance of coaxial coils. Moving coil transducer. Spherical screen in a uniform field. LVDT displacement transducer. Two and three dimensional optimum analysis.
