Course Objective To teach the fundamentals of low- and mid-level image processing concepts including enhancement, restoration and compression of digital images, and in this manner, to provide students with simulating digital image processing algorithms through extensive use of Matlab.
Course Content Image processing basics / Image enhancement in the spatial domain / Image enhancement in the frequency domain / Image restoration and reconstruction / Color image processing / Wavelet transform and multi-resolution processing / Image compression.
