Course Objective The aim of this course is transfer of information about membrane characterization, membrane processes and industrial applications of membrane processes.
Course Content Membrane technologies for Industries, classification of membrane technologies (microfiltration, ultra-filtration, nano-filtration and reverse osmosis) and treatment mechanism, fouling on membrane and pre-treatment before membrane systems, reuse of wastewater and membrane technology, integrated treatment of industrial wastewater-membrane technology, membrane technology in different industries (Textile, food, latter, chemical est.) and recovery of some chemicals (peroxide, acid, caustic est.), cost analysis of membrane treatment plants, membrane treatment plants and potential environmental and operational problems. .
