Course Objective There are varieties of plant groups and name them as forest, macchies, grassland and steppes. When we look in close the floristic composition of these, we see the differences between them. In this course, the floristic methods and techniques used in taxonomic classification of plant groups will be given.
Course Content The analytic and synthetic characteristics of the vegetation, homogeneity of the vegetation, types of the vegetation gradient and its analyses, the characteristics of the floristic methods, the process of the floristic method at analytic and synthetic stage, the determination of the characteristic species, phytosociological nomenclature, the advantage and disadvantages of the method and comparison with others.
