Course Objective This course is aimed to explain in detail structures and functions of cell membranes.
Course Content Structural components and organizations of the membrane; basement membrane; glycocalyx; cytoskeleton; intracellular membranes; prokaryotic plasma membrane; cell junctions; the molecular aspects of membrane fluidity and membrane dynamics; general membrane functions, such as compartmentalization, cellular recognition and membrane transport.
