Course Objective To introduce specific topics about forest pathology and mycology, to explain the global significance of important forest tree pathogens that cause major epidemics. to analyze the relations of forest tree pathogens with vector insects, to explain the genetic basis of tree defenses, to examine the functional relationships of the tree microbiota.
Course Content Literature survey on important forest tree diseases (fungi, virus, bacteria), global importance of forest tree diseases, insects as vectors of forest tree pathogens, genetic basis for tree defense, functional relations levels of tree microbiota, personalized laboratory project work.
