Course Objective The structure of respiratory system and respiratory mechanism will be discussed in detail. The work of the respiratory system, O2 and CO2 transport and diffusion, the volumes and the capacities of lung, the relationships of pulmonary ventilation-perfusion and the regulation of respiration will be discussed.
Course Content Functional Organization of the Respiratory System, Lung Ventilation and Respiration Mechanic, Lung Volume and Capacities, Diffusion of Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide in Respiration Membrane, Transport of Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide in Blood, Pulmonary Circulations, Metabolic Functions of Lung and Pleura Fluid, Ventilation-Perfusion, Centrals of Respiration, Regulation of Respiration, Hypoxia, Respiration Pathophysiology, Respiration Types, Exercise and Respiration, Respiratory System in Stress
