Course Objective Aim: The aim of this course is to understand the principles of the sensory system.
Course Content "Introduction to sensory systems: Sensory receptors, sensory modality, intensity, period, location; Sensory coding, receptive fields, lateral inhibition; Somatosensory system and sensory pathways, touch and proprioception, temperature, nociception, mechanisms of periferic and central Visual physiology: Photoreceptıon, Optıc pathways, Visual cortex Audition; Taste; Olfaction Applied physiology: Location of touch sensation; Two-point discrimination Location of temperation, pression; Location of nociception; Location of taste; Discuss about various aromatical odors "

1Explains the working principle’s of the sensory system.
2Defines the contribution of sensory functions to homeostasis.

6Accounts for research on sensory functions.
