Course Objective To provide information about economic development which comprises structural transformation from agriculture, industry to service sectors, poverty, unemployment, migration, human capital, income distribution and regional inequalities and in this context the relationship between employment and economic development.
Course Content Become knowledgeable about underdevelopment and features of the underdeveloped countries, approaches that explain underdevelopment, balanced and unbalanced development theories, industrialization strategies, income distribution, poverty and the reasons of the regional development differences, transformation of the economic structure and employment in the development process
