Course Objective To teach Ottoman judicial system one of the most important factors shaping social and cultural politics of Ottoman State in modern age.
Course Content Perception of law in Ottomans in the transition phase from principality to state; its historical bases, relation between martial and şer’I law, the Era of Fatih as a turning point, historical development of organization, land and tax laws and developments in this area in the 16th century will be handled.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
