Course Objective The aim of course is examination of the changes in Ottoman Art occurring in the western sense and the socio-cultural environment in Tulip Era and after, in detail.
Course Content Characteristics of European art of this period; the socio-cultural structure of this period; the interaction of Ottoman art and Western art; the causes, means, and aspects of changes in architecture, painting and decoration will be discussed. Wall paintings, artists and stylistic issues appears in this context, will be examined and interpreted.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

1Will be able to recognize the art and socio-cultural environment of Tulip Era.
2Will be able to describe the changes in the Tulip era architecture.
3Will be able to express the developments in other arts depending on the architecture of Tulip era.
4Will be able to describe the reflections of Baroque and Rococo styles on Ottoman art with examples.
5Will be able to comprehend the changes in the process until the period of Selim III.
