Course Objective The aim of course is revealing the relations between Ottoman art and contemporary cultural circles in the process from the firsth period of Ottoman art until the period includes Turkish Neoclassic Style, with the main lines in chronological order. In this context, aims to gain the concept of “art can not be considered from its around” and aims to acquire a broader perspective to the student.
Course Content Reflections between Ottoman art and contemporary art circles (Byzantine, Timurid, Mamluk, Safavid and Europe arts); emphasizing the unique aspects of its own art; causes of interaction and the size of its reflections; opinions, approaches and discussions on this issue, are the essence of this course. In this context, will be entered in detail occasionally.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Will be able to recognize the cultures around the Ottoman.
2Will be able to examine in detail the initial state of the Ottoman art.
3Will be able to recognize the cultural relationship between the Ottomans and Byzantine.
4Will be able to refer the reflections on art of cultural relations between Ottoman and Byzantine with examples.
5Will be able to describe the cultural relation size between Ottoman and Mamluks.
6Will be able to reveal the similar and different aspects between Ottoman and mamluk art with reasons.
7Will be able to recognize the stuation of Ottoman art seen in the places have seen Early Islamic Art.
