Course Objective The aim of course is explaining Islamic art from the first emergence of the Umayyad, Andalusia, Umayyad, Abbasid, Fatimid, Ayyubid period and who have accepted Islam as the state-established independent countries of North Africa the Almoravids, Almohads, and Nasıriler Meriniler period architectural and decorative works of art and making comparisons.
Course Content Islamic art from the first emergence of the Umayyad, Andalusia, Umayyad, Abbasid, Fatimid, Ayyubid and North Africa, establishing an independent state as the Almoravids, Almohads, and Nasıriler Meriniler period in the emergence of art will be described with examples of domains. This will focus on the impact of arts in the shaping of the Islamic decorative arts.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Will be able to define the source of Islamic art, the birthplace of the Muslim faith according to period and region. Give detailed information about the works of the first built in Islam.
2Will be able to define the structures built in the Umayyad period, from beginning to end. The plan, by making a general assessment of materials and decorative features of buildings in this period by comparing each other exemplifies similar examples.
3Will be able to summarize the process of establishment of the Umayyad Empire after the fall of the Umayyads of Andalusia. Defines the architectural works of the Andalusian Umayyad period. Plan and the decorative features of these works and similar works in the Umayyad period, comparable in terms of different aspects. Islamic and Umayyad coins of the first examples describe the general composition.
4Will be able to decribe the cities of Samarra and Raqqa founded in Abbasid Baghdad. The Abbasid period key features of the structure plan, together with materials and decorative features to explain. The Abbasid period, wood, plaster, ceramic and metal artifacts and decorative compositions and different aspects of similar examples to compare the different periods.
5Will be able to allow architectural works built in the Fatimid Period, as you describe the general features of the plan and decoration. Give information about the works of ceramics and metals, ornamental features to compare other periods.
6Will be able to recognize the architectural works of the Ayyubid period, material, and decorative features of the plan by looking at the self, compare the structures were built in previous periods.
7Will be able to specify Islamic art from the first emergence of the Umayyad, Andalusia, Umayyad, Abbasid, Fatimid, Ayyubid period, the location of structures in the early Islamic art.
8Will be able to describe the architectural and decorative features of the Almoravids, Almohads, and Nasırids, Merinids period buildings established an independent state in North Africa. Almoravids, Almohads, and Nasırids period Merinids explain the general properties of works of art.
