Course Objective By focusing on the relationship between gender and digital communication, the course aims to reveal gender inequalities and the user's opportunities to challenge the patriarchal system. It also seeks to find an answer to how anti-feminist discourses have become a rising trend through digital communication, along with postfeminism.
Course Content Within the scope of the course, research on the phenomenon of digital communication will be discussed in the context of feminist epistemology. In addition, some examples of virtual struggles targeting patriarchal ideology with a feminist approach will be examined. In this direction, cyberfeminism, manosphere, digital gendered public space etc. topics will be discussed.

4Applies feminist theory and methods suitable for examining digital communication forms in the context of gender.
3Critically reviews the theory, methodology and findings of published studies on the impact of new communication technologies on gender.
