Course Objective Course goals are; interpreting urban space using the method of comparative analysis; to detect the contribution of different cultural processes to historical cities of the past; understand the urbanization of dynamics of urban and regional development strategies cities in different countries, Make comparisons with cities in Turkey, contribute to the theoretical knowledge to convert it into a habitable environment for the expansion future of our cities better by revealing features of the contemporary city and urbanization
Course Content Development of urbanization, the birth of the first civilizations and urbanism; Greek, Roman, concept of planning Medieval cities; The ideal cities of the Renaissance Period; Impact of the Industrial Revolution, the cities; development of urbanism in the West, Structures of different forms of urban cities in the historical process, presentation of various cultures, using examples of international experiences
