Course Objective The aim of this course is to focus on the basic ideas of Husserl’s philosophy considering his most important texts, to underline his importance in the history of philosophy, and to point out the relationship between his ideas and the current problems in philosophy
Course Content Husserl's basic concepts such as orientation, phenomenological reduction, eidetic reduction and their connection with phenomenological method will be emphasized. Also, the contribution of Heidegger to phenomenology and the connection between Husserl and Heidegger will be examined.

1Develops an overview of the place of phenomenology in the history of philosophy in general.
2Interprets the basic concepts of phenomenology in connection with some similar or different concepts in philosophy.
