Course Objective The aim of the course is to know how to sanctuaries occurred and developed. The objectives of the course are to have an information to able to make comment about structures and the locations of them in sanctuaries and explain the relationship between religious and political centers and their arrangements.
Course Content Anatolian sacred areas, their arrangement, the structures they include and the system followed in placing these inner structures will be explained. The religious and political relations between the sacred areas and closer cities will be discussed.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Know formation and development process of sacred places
2To give an example of sacred places of city-state center and temple arrangements
3Comment in general meaning structures and their place at sacred places
4Explain relationship between religious and political center and sacred arrangements
5Know structures in the sacred places and know the relationships structures around the sacred place
6Make understandable and scientific explanation about sacred place ceremonies
7Evaluate religious and sociological dimensions of ceremonies of sacred place
8Have knowledge about the excavations made at sacred places and able to evaluate finds
