Course Objective To study the impacts of historical, religious, political, social, economical events etc. on the formation of Islamic sects in the first period.
Course Content The definition of the History of Islamic Sects, it's aims, subject, method, basic concepts and literature; the political and social events that affects the Islamic sects, the belief matters, the differences of religious comprehension; the first sects, Kharijism, Shi'ism (Zaydiyyah, Imamiyyah, Ismailism), Ahl As-Sunnah wa'l-Jamaah (Salafism, Mu'tazila, Ash'arism, Maturidiyya), The formation of Murji'ah, it's branches and arguments and various discussions on religion.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1The student learns correctly the aim and subject of the History of Islamic Sects.
2The student understands in a good way the method of the history of Islamic Sects .
3The student gains knowledge of the basic concepts and resources so the ability to use resources.
4The student knows how the political, social etc. events affect the formation of sects and obtains the ability to make connections between events and ideas.
5The student learns correctly how the first sects were formed and their beliefs.
