Course Objective The aim of the course is to make general evaluation Lycos Valley and surrounding settlement with help of give information. The objective of the course is to give information about socio-economic structure of ancient period Lycos Valley.
Course Content At the beginning of the course the aim will be to present the historical and Cultural developments of the ancient Lycus. Following this preliminary introduction, the course will focus on the settlement types, strategically and economical characteristics of the significant cities in these regions.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

1Information is given about settlements and mound of Kazanes Valley (Acıpayam Plain).
2Information is given about settlements and mound of Tabai Plain (Kale-Tavas Plain).
3Information is given about settlements and mound of Lampe Plain (Çivril-Çal Plain).
4Information is given about settlements and mound of Aunova Plain (Çardak Plain).
5Information is given socio-economic structure of Lycos Valley.
6A general evaluation is made Lycos Valley and surrounding settlements according to given information

2 Information about modern and ancient historical geography of Lycus Valley will be given.
3 Ancient authors who give information about Lycus Valley and its ancient cities will be explained.
4 Ancient itineraries, who visited Lycus Valley, finished and recent excavations and researches in the region will be explained.
5 General features of mounds and ancient cities inside and around the Lycus Valley and the effects of geographical location on founding cities will be explained.
6 Information about Kazanes Valley (Acıpayam Plain) and features of its settlements will be given.
7 Information about Tabai Plain (Kale-Tavas Plain) and features of its settlements will be given.
8 Information about Lampe Plain (Çivril-Çal Plain) and features of its settlements will be given.
9 Information about Anaua Plain (Çardak Plain) and features of its settlements will be given.
10 Information about sociopolitical structure of Lycus Valley in antiquity will be given
11 Information about Kolossai ancient city will be given.
12 Information about Hieraolis ancient city will be given.
13 Information about Laodicea ancient city will be given.
14 General evaluation of settlements inside and around the Lycus Valley will be made in the light of given information.
