Course Objective	Social Studies is a field of science that includes many different social science disciplines. Due to the diversity in the content of social sciences, differences in methodological approaches attract attention. General principles of basic methods, techniques and approaches used in social sciences will be introduced. The differences in the qualitative and quantitative approaches and research ethics issues will be discussed with sample applications in identifying the problem in social sciences, determining the appropriate research method, specifying the sample, collecting and interpreting data.
