Course Objective To teach the spelling rules of Turkish, to teach the relationship between phonetics and spelling rules, to show the connection between spelling and meaning, to introduce the alphabet features; to develop sound-based language skills such as pronunciation, spelling, stress, rhyme and intonation.
Course Content The alphabets used by Turks, Turkish phonetics, spellings of the words of foreign origin, orthography of adjacent and separate words, private names, foreign proper names, abbreviations, punctuation marks.
