Course Objective
In a time when we experience the effects of rapid changes of the information age, relations between the society and individual have increasingly become dense. As pad of this density, learning a foreign language(s) is of great importance. Communicating through a foreign language(s) is a prerequisite for living in today's multilingual and multicultural world, in this frame of context, foreign language teacher training in Turkey has maintained its significance just as anywhere in the world. For this reason, while discussing the developments in foreign language teaching in our country, it is vital that we focus on globalisation and foreign language policies of European Union. In this lesson, foreign language and foreign language teacher training policies in the new millennium in our country will be discussed on the basis of globalisation and foreign language education policies of European Union.
