Course Objective Today, media has affected social life, especially family life. This effect of the media caused changes in children's development, learning and play. The media and digital play course is aimed to support students to use media and digital play for educational purposes, and help them to gain skills and strategies for using, developing and guiding media and digital play for educational purposes.
Course Content 1. Media and culture 2. The place of media tools in family and child life 3. Selection and use of digital tools 4. Using concrete digital tools in teaching 5. Designing digital learning environments suitable for digital play and development 6. Mobile application (apps) selection and usage skills 7. Coding teaching processes for children 8. 3D design and printing for kids 9. Augmented reality and applications in early childhood 10. Mediating children's media and digital games 11. Using media and digital games in collaboration with families and parent education
