Course Objective In preschool period, play is one of the contexts in which the social development of children is best observed. From this point of view, this course aims to research and assessment the importance of social competence, its dimensions, ways of supporting, adult roles in the play and also social, cognitive and constructive play stages.
Course Content The role of play in development and learning, adults’ roles in play, free play and learning opportunities, observation of play preferences, the importance of social competence, dimensions of social competence, influential factors of the development of social competence, ways of improving social competence, observations on social competence levels,and play development and assessment.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
