Course Objective To provide information about the definition of the art of sculpture, which has a distinctive place with its three-dimensional feature in the context of visual arts, which is under the concept and definition of general art and art education, its types in the context of its history and technical materials, and the methods of processing and using these materials. To gain knowledge of the necessity and importance of sculpture education for visual art education and to develop an attitude. To know how to develop the experimental knowledge, skills and abilities of the students who will be given sculpture education by making applications in line with the information obtained. In addition, it is aimed to create original artistic expression forms both for themselves and for the individuals they will teach sculpture with different techniques and understandings, and to present works and create defense in this context. On the other hand, it is expected to reach the knowledge of examining and evaluating previous academic studies, which are questioned, discussed and solutions for the identified problems regarding the education-teaching methods of the art of sculpture, in an art educator attitude. Finally, it is aimed that the students who take the course produce theses in line with the solution of sculpture education problems.
Course Content This course covers the general art and art education concept and definition, the information about the techniques for making sculptures, and the ways and methods to be followed in transferring this knowledge to children and adults (other individuals); It includes information about the importance and necessity of sculpture and three-dimensional visual works in terms of art education. On the other hand, it includes the analysis of contemporary sculpture artists and their works and the artistic defense of the works by presenting original works. It contains information about the processes of presenting the solutions to be produced in the context of three-dimensional art (sculpture) education problems as a thesis.

5Gains and applies the knowledge of mold making and casting with traditional and modern techniques.
6Sculpture will have the knowledge and discipline of setting up a workshop and workshop.
7As an art educator, they have the knowledge of making determinations about sculpture education and can question them.
