COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective The aim of the course is to gain students with knowledge and skills about identifying behaviors that are evaluated as behavioral disorders and adaptation problems in children and adolescents, approaches that explain unwanted behaviors, making functional behavior analyses that can be applied to eliminate behavior disorders, making plans to eliminate unwanted behaviors.
Course Content Normal and abnormality, normal-abnormal behavior criteria in children, excretion disorders in children, diffuse developmental disorders in children (attention deficit and hyperactivity), child anxiety disorders (tics, separation anxiety, phobias, etc.), adolescent developmental needs, anxiety disorders in adolescents (OCD and panic attacks), mood disorders in children and adolescents, adult psychopathology (anxiety disorders, mood disorders, psychoses), adaptation and behavioral disorders within the framework of family counseling.
