COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective The aim of this course is to obtain statistical data by using the concepts of descriptive and inferential statistics and to carry out analysis of package programs in the computer environment. With these applications, students can collect, analyze and interpret data; gain experience in academic writing, presentation and reporting.
Course Content Introduction to statistics and basic concepts in statistics; descriptive, estimation of population parameters (standard error and confidence intervals); concept of correlation and alternative correlation techniques; hypothesis testing, decision Introduction to statistics and basic concepts in statistics; descriptive, estimation of population parameters (standard error and confidence intervals); concept of correlation and alternative correlation techniques; hypothesis testing, decision making; difference tests; chi-square analysis; parametric and non parametric analysis; scale development process; standardization and adaptation processes; package programs, data analysis and alternative programs.
