Course Objective It is aimed to understand the importance of meeting qualified child science books and examine the features (design, content and educational) that should be found in these books.The effects children's books in Turkey and the world on science education are intended to be understood and analyzed.
Course Content The development of science education children's literature in the world and Turkey. In childhood, the importance of meeting qualified science children's books and the function of children's literature in raising sensitive and thinking individuals who have acquired a reading culture. Examining the properties (design, content and educational) that should be found in science children's book works with examples. Showing unqualified children's books with examples and discussing their negative effects on children's developmental characteristics. Studies to determine the suitability of the preservice science teachers according to the age groups of the books they read and examine, and what development these children will contribute to.
