Course Objective The aim of this lesson is to improve the mathematics teachers' noticing skills and to provide for mathematics teachers to have necessary knowledge and awareness about learning and teaching mathematics effectively by considering students' prior knowledge, difficulties, errors, misconceptions and understandings for mathematics.
Course Content Describing noticing skill and its components. Examining the content of knowledge of student thinking and discussing the importance for learning mathematics effectively. Designing a lesson plan focusing on students' thinking. Examining different mathematics lessons in the context of noticing skill.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.

1Know noticing skill and its components.
2Recognize knowledge of student thinking which is a fundamental component of mathematics knowledge for teaching and it content.
3Know the teaching approaches helping teachers in conducting a lesson by noticing students' thinking.
4Assess different mathematics lessons by examining teachers' noticing skills.
5Plan a lesson by focusing on students' thinking.
6Analyze and assess their own teaching processes in terms of noticing of students' thinking
